1. Coursework need not be completely step-by-step 
2. Do not translate into native language , learn fresh.
3. Get script agnostic and get sound centric.
4. Accompany audio material by something visual,meaning,lexical equivalents
5. Teach areas of day to day need
6. Jump straight in to complex, natural language material even if not understandable and work backwards, breaking it down over time..top-down approach.
7. memorize whole sentences, phrases and pictures rather than single words.
8. Use all of your senses to learn..touch,smell,taste,hear,see, emotion,scene.
